This gorgeous early Victorian bracelet combines two motifs with meaning. Oak symbolizes strength, while crescent moons symbolize a new relationship. It is big and bold but very lightweight and affordable. It may just be the perfect holiday gift for a new love! When the bracelet was made around 1850, gold was fairly scarce and making statement jewelry with as little metal as possible subsequently became chic. This is a perfect example, the beautiful repoussé work gives the appearance of beautifully carved details, though the bracelet is hollow. Despite its light nature, there are very few noticeable dents, it is in remarkable condition given its age, and we believe it will remain so for years to come. Measures 6 3/4 inches long, and 7/8 inch wide.
