This little ring, circa 1890, is very fine indeed! The old mine cut can sometimes be crude and unbalanced in shape and proportion, but this one was cut with care and astute attention to detail. This .15 carat diamond is finely cut, giving it a brilliance not common among its contemporaries. It's remarkably clean VS clarity grade and near colorless color grade certainly add to its outstanding sparkle. It is set in a beautifully raised 14k buttercup setting.
