c1920 18k Burmese Sapphire and Diamond Dinner Ring
Two stunning un-enhanced sapphires make this one of the most uniquely beautiful dinner rings we've ever had! We believe this 18k ring was handworked around 1920, judging by the cut of the sapphires, though the diamonds are older. The diamonds vary in clarity and color grades, though they certainly are in the near colorless range. They are old mine cut, dating them back to the turn of the century or earlier, and weigh about half a carat all together. The sapphires are completely natural, untreated, Burmese sapphires of the truest blue imaginable. They weigh a total of about a carat and a half, and hold most of the value of the ring, as they are nearly impossible to replace. This is truly a spectacular ring, sure to be admired as a dinner ring, right-hand ring, cocktail ring, or everyday ring just the same! It is currently a size 3 1/2, and may be resized up upon request. The top oval setting is 7/8 inch long and 1/2 inch wide.
