This ruby is among the most vibrant we've ever had the privilege of coming across– its remarkable clarity lets its deeply saturated raspberry red color steal the show! Its beautifully facetted oval cut gives it glitter that rubies are not typically known for, except rubies as fine as this. It is GIA certified and weighs about 1.18 carats. The setting is of complimentary quality as it is handmade in platinum. Carvings accent the sides and are as crisp and romantic as they were when they were etched there a hundred years ago, around 1920. The diamonds are true to the period– transitional cuts. Three on each side are bead-set and surrounded by milgrain edges. They have a total carat weight of about .24 and are also quite fine– at least G color and VS clarity. This makes a perfect engagement ring for someone who wants a classic look, with a non-traditional stone, and antique charm! It is currently a size 6 1/2 and may be easily sized up or down upon request.
