This streamlined deco solitaire is remarkably elegant in its simplicity. The ring was handmade in platinum around 1930 and has certainly been well-loved. The diamond is a .44 carat transitional cut, has a nearly colorless G grade, and a very clean SI1 clarity grade. The simple three striped band carving comes up to taper at the diamond beautifully. Its curve gives it a soft edge. Though the setting is square, its rounded corners give it a feminine appeal. The diamond is set in such a way that its point comes down and creates a subtle heart shape with the open sides! It is currently a size 4 3/4, but may be sized up or down as requested.
