Description: This beautifully detailed pin/pendant has lots of appeal. The delicate black enameling, applied in a technique referred to as Taille d'Eapargné. There is a hidden bale to allow this piece to be worn as a pin or pendant.
Taille d'Epargne' is a technique similar to champlevé in which a design in carved into the metal and then filled with enameling, usually black. This type of work is most often seen in antique brooches, watch cases, and chatelaines.
