Description: "Old Pawn" sterling is always dated to pre-1970 and is almost never signed. These pieces were often pawned by Native Americans in exchange for seed money, after harvest they would return to reclaim their jewelry. This jewelry is varied in its silver purity, and were often constructed of recycled materials. Often they are 90% silver due to the melting of coins in order to create these pieces of jewelry.
