David Andersen Blue Enamel & Sterling Bracelet

David Andersen Blue Enamel & Sterling Bracelet

David Andersen opened his shop in Oslo, Norway in 1876, specializing in jewelry and silverwares. Andersen died in 1901 and his sons took over company operations and designs. Today, the company has gathered worldwide acclaim for its mid-century, enameled silver jewelry and their pieces have become highly collectable! The pattern employed for this bracelet is called 'guilloché enameling'. It is a method of mechanical engraving which uses a precise machine, resulting in a lovely design with lots of symmetry and depth! Made circa 1950s, this stylish sterling silver bracelet with blue and white enameled panels is a great example of the complexities of David Andersen's art deco works.

This midcentury bracelet measures 8 inches total.
