Diana Goddess Cameo c. 1920s

Diana Goddess Cameo c. 1920s

An exquisite portrait depicting Diana, for all the collectors of wearable art! In Roman mythology, she is the goddess of the moon, the natural world and the protector of women, especially during childbirth. Also known as the goddess of the hunt, she usually carries with her a bow and arrow. This antique cameo is a feat of sculptural beauty, carved in shell with incredible details. Entirely hand crafted circa 1920s, the glittering diamond and synthetic sapphire frame surely elevates this cameo. The full-cut diamond weight is approximately ~.42 carats total, and they are G-H color, VS-SI clarity. This piece is complete with a secure pin back and a hinged bail, which can be hidden. This mechanism, which was added later on, allows you to wear it on a stock chain, a thicker pocket watch chain as shown on our model picture, or even a beaded strand of pearls!

This antique cameo measures 1 ¼ inches by 1 ¾ inches, and the bale adds an additional ½ an inch at the top. You can fashion it as a brooch or on your neckline – either way it sure to make a memorable statement!
