Emerald Cut Diamond Two-Tone Ring c1970
The emerald cut diamond is a wide open window into the heart of the stone, placing all of its inner beauty on display. It is unclouded by brilliant sparkle, and instead alludes to infinite possibilities and quiet reflection. Its facets mirror the light and boast a glitter that somehow outshines brilliant cuts in its subtlety. The transparent nature of the emerald cut diamond means it must be of top quality, with no visible inclusions and little to no pigment. This stone is exemplary, exhibiting a colorless to near colorless F-G color grade and a super clean VS1 clarity grade, certified by EGL USA. It weighs just over a carat at 1.05, set in a handmade platinum basket that shows off its colorlessness. A baguette cut diamond on either side accentuate the center stone perfectly with clean lines, adding .14 carat in total weight to the ring. They are also near colorless G color and VS clarity to match. The shank is 14k yellow gold, elevating the diamonds in contrast and making for an easy-to-wear ring that compliments jewelry in any tone. This ring was likely made in the 1970s or 80s. It is currently a size 6 1/2 and may be resized easily, up or down, upon request.
