Art-Deco Diamond & Sapphire Shoulder Pin
An exquisite example of Art Deco chic, this dazzling circle pin was made to adorn the shoulders of the most fashionable frocks of the 1920s. As sleeveless, low necklines came into fashion, brooches moved from the center of high collars to the straps of dresses. The circle shape sits beautifully atop the strap, evoking a glittering buckle that is further accentuated by its garter belt design. The finest antique brilliant diamonds sparkle side by side in a single row as they pave the circle, bordered by milgrain beaded edges that give the bright white platinum a soft glow. Rings of French-cut sapphires appear to wrap around the impeccably sculpted ribbon of diamonds as it loops atop a sparkling laurel. The regal blue buckles accent opposite ends, its garter and laurel design mirrored with perfect symmetry. Handmade by a high-end guild jeweler, this piece features an inventory number hallmarked on its clasp. Its stylish sophistication, though distinctly art deco, remains as eternal as its circular design!
