Rarity upon rarity, this stunning Georgian-era pendant showcases a black opal in bright 20k yellow gold, both uncommon variations of well-loved jewelry favorites. Royal blue enamel perfectly accentuates the opal's flashing streaks of neon orange, red, and ultraviolet. Dating back to around 1830, it is among our most antique pieces. It was likely originally a brooch, as we see remnants of where a pin would be attached. The enamel is worn away in places, as pictured. The pendant measures about 1 1/8 inches long and wide and has a 1/2 inch bale for a 1 5/8 inch total drop. The chain is not included, please inquire or schedule a virtual appointment to view additional chain options.
