A twist of twists! This necklace, called a torsade, is made by twisting multiple strands of natural seed pearls together, two strands of already twisted strands in this case. This design allows the tiny lustrous pearls to come together in an impressive display and be admired at every angle. Made around 1840, this Georgian necklace features a 14k clasp and end caps that sparkle with rubies and rose-cut diamonds. This piece has a beautiful antique patina and is in exceptional condition for its age. It measures about 14 1/2 inches long and about 1/4 inch thick.
