Handmade Gold and Diamond Navette c1880
Quite simply the most perfect navette! If you've been deprived of this kind of beauty, a navette is a ring known for its long, flat marquis shape from the late 19th century, usually paved with diamonds and other fine gemstones. The term translates to "little turnip" in French! Typically we see navettes with white metal tops where the diamonds are set. It is refreshing to see this one in 14k yellow gold all the way through, providing a brilliant contrast to the stunning, near colorless diamonds and allowing them to pop! An old European cut diamond sparkles in the center, flanked by two old mine cuts above and below making up five diamonds in the center. They are bordered by glittering rose cut diamonds that cover the navette to the edges. The diamonds total about a carat in weight, range between H and I color grades, and are in the VS clarity range. The top measures 1 inch long and just over 1/4 inch at its widest. The ring is a size 5 1/2 and may be easily resized up or down upon request.
