Cultured Mabé pearls are grown intentionally by using a hemispheric nucleus, rather than a round one; and by implanting it against the oyster's shell, rather than within its tissue. The pearl then develops in a hemispheric form, with its characteristic flat back. This ring was crafted by hand in 14 karat yellow gold, featuring a large grey Mabé pearl. We adore the twisted rope wreath that frames the pearl, leaving its luster right on display. The addition of a small bloom on each side also adds a very delicate touch.
