Asymmetrical Diamond Fur Clip C. 1935
Delineated Art-Deco but with a twist! This asymmetrical fur clip has all of the stunning art deco details we have come to associate with this era; thickly bezeled diamonds set within a variety of geometric shapes that seamlessly flow together to create a dynamic, glittering pattern!
Handcrafted around 1935 in platinum, this breathtaking fur clip features about 6 carats total in diamond weight through a seamless combination of Transitional-cut and baguette-cut diamonds. The center stone, which is the largest, weighs about ~.40 carats, graded I-J color and VS clarity. The rest of the clip incorporates about ~.75 carats in clean Baguette-cut diamonds, while the clustered borders add an additional ~4.85 carats in Transitional-cut diamonds, all beautifully-matched and graded G color, VS clarity. The clip has a double pin stem at the reverse that flips open and closed to secure into a garment, and it could be easily styled as a pendant as well by threading a chain through the closed bail.
This is an absolute dream of a fur clip and it would make a great addition into any jewelry collection!
