Joseff of Hollywood Bracelet and Earring Set c1930
On screen and off, these cinematic beauties steal the show! Joseff of Hollywood was the premier jewelry designer for costumers in the film industry and celebrities alike from the 1930s through the midcentury! His signature matte metal finish was perfect for films of the era as they did not create a glare on camera. Much of his jewelry was custom made for specific pictures or starlets, or kept in his collection to be rented out as needed. This set was made in the beginning of his career, in the 1930s. The glass rhinestones sparkle like antique old mine diamonds with their cushiony cut. The signature matte finish is created by a thick silver-plate metal. The bracelet measures about 6 3/4 inches long and 7/8 inch wide. The earrings feature their original screw-on backings, meant for unpierced ears, yet suitable for pierced ears as well. They measure 7/8 inch in diameter.
