Midcentury Cloissoné Enamel Ring c1960
A pop of color and a touch of sweetness– this enamel ring is well-loved for good reason! Enamel is the perfect way to add playful pops of color to gold jewelry without the glitz of faceted gemstones, making it perfect for casual wear. Cloisonné enameling is the process of creating pictures by filling recesses of gold with different colors of enamel. Here we see it create an adorable floral design with bright green leaves. This ring has been well-loved and has a few chips to the enamel yet remains a unique beauty worth treasuring for its charms and imperfections alike. The details truly set it apart- roped edges that slightly taper into the center where a .06 carat full cut diamond adds a subtle sparkle. The back of the band is textured in a way that evokes a soft tree bark, perfectly accenting its naturalistic motifs. The 14k ring was made between the 1950s and 70s and is a size 7 1/2. Resizing is not recommended.
