Midcentury South Sea Pearl & Diamond Earrings

Handmade in 14k white gold circa 1950s, these fine earrings feature soft and luxurious 11.1 millimeter South Sea pearls in a milgrain-decorated diamond surround.

South Sea pearls, known for their large size, are among the rarest and most sought after pearls in the world. They take many years to cultivate, six times longer than Akoya pearls, and grow to be much larger on average. Their lustre is superior to other types of pearls due to their much thicker nacre, and this pair of earrings surely displays that, as they seem to radiate with a glow from within!

This pair incorporates both single and full-cut diamonds, totaling a diamond weight of about 1 full carat (approximately 1/2 carat each), G-H color and VS clarity grade matched throughout. Each earring measures about 7/8 inch by 1/2 an inch. They have their original screw-back post and can be converted for pierced ears upon request. Please inquire.
