There is something magical about old mine diamonds arranged into flowers and foliage. The organic cuts of these visually pristine diamonds perfectly accentuate the natural curves and delicate delineation of the floral shapes. In turn, the earring's design beautifully compliments the gentle curve of the ear, elegantly framing the face. The old mine cut diamonds boast clarities in the VS to VVS clarity grade range and are exceptionally near colorless and clean. They total a carat weight of about 2.20. Made around 1870, these are some of the earliest examples of clip-on earrings before they gained popularity and preference in the early 20th century. They are set in silver atop 14k gold, all with a charming patina that provides a contrast that highlights the beautiful craftsmanship in the pavé design. Each earring measures about 1 inch long and 1/2 inch wide. They may be converted to posts for pierced ears upon request.
