Old Mine Diamond Lavaliere c1900
This stunning lavaliere pendant exudes romance! The lavaliere style pendant was made popular and named for the Duchesse de la Vallière, a mistress of Louis XIV of France, and refers to a drop pendant. Today we refer specifically to the filigreed Art Nouveau style drop pendants we see from the late Victorian and early Edwardian periods. They are beautiful in their petite size and intricate, delicate detailing, and this one is no exception with its two-toned lace and sparkling diamond touch.
This lavaliere dates to around 1900 and is set in handmade 14k gold with a .08 carat old mine cut diamond. It measures just over 1 1/2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. The chain is not included, though options are available here, and many more in our shop, please inquire!
