Pearl Choker with Diamond Heart Clasp c. 1950s
A gorgeous diamond clasp allows this 1950s pearl choker to be worn two ways! The striking heart-shaped clasp can be worn on the back of the neck for a more classic look, or in the front to be shown off as a centerpiece to these lovely pearls. Set in 14k white gold, it features around 1 carat in total weight of H-I near colorless grade, VS clarity grade diamonds, including a sizable pear cut at its center surrounded by baguette and full cuts. The Akoya Japanese pearls are of fine quality, ranging between 8.3 and 9.2 millimeters and graded A-AA grade. The clasp measures about 9.5 by 12.5 millimeters. The strand measures about 16 inches long and is pictured as the topmost strand on the model photographed.
