Pennino Flower Brooch C. 1940s
Pennino jewelers was founded by brothers Oreste, Frank and Jack Pennino in 1926 right here in New York City. Their cocktail jewelry was always exquisitely-crafted, using plated metals, high-grade rhinestones of intense color, and with classic design but at the top of the current fashions. This dynamic brooch, made around 1940s, features 2 flowers with elongated stems, adorned by a bedazzled ribbon-like design. The dandelion-inspired flowers seem to come alive with the cornflower-blue stones adorning the top, and baguette-shaped rhinestones that dazzle in a spray formation at the cup. This brooch is constructed in 925 Sterling silver with a rose gold finish. It measures approximately 4 inches long by 2 inches at its widest point, and it closes with a secure pinback. It is ready to add a playful refinement to any garment it adorns.
Because of their high standards, Pennino jewelry was always in high demand, and their beautiful works of jewelry art are very collectible even today. They were well-known for their amazing renditions of 1940s fine jewelry, and this brooch is no exception. The whole design is just exquisite, sure to catch the eye of any collector!
