Rose-cut Diamond and Ruby Fuchsia Flower Brooch c1910

Rose-cut Diamond and Ruby Fuchsia Flower Brooch c1910

Romantic fuchsia flowers are adorned with rubies and rose-cut diamonds in this stunning brooch from the Edwardian era! The fuchsia flower is famous for its vivid hues that range from pink to purple, perfectly represented here with rubies inlaid into handmade gold petals. Diamonds outline the artistically airy leaves, set in white gold to beautifully contrast the bold flowers. Adding glittering movement to the brooch, dangling chains of bezel-set rose cut diamonds waterfall from the flowers, representing the dewy stamen, capped with ruby drops as anther.

This brooch includes a hidden bale and can be easily worn as a pendant. It features around 2.50 carats in total weight of rose-cut diamonds and 2.70 carats in total weight of rubies, including a .70 carat ruby bezel-set at its top. It is completely handmade in 14k yellow and white gold, fashioned around 1910. It measures about 3 1/4 inches long and 1 3/4 inches at its widest.
