Untreated Ceylon Sapphire and Natural Pearl Bracelet c1910
Natural pearls and sapphires offer lush, abounding elegance in this lavish Edwardian bracelet fit for the highest classes of the era! This stunning bracelet is teeming with rich details that to this day are reserved for the finest jewelry. Both natural pearls and untreated sapphires are incredibly rare these days, and even in 1910 when this masterpiece was created, goods of this quality were coveted by nobility. Each antique cushion-cut Ceylon sapphire is completely natural, with no heat enhancements, and weighs around 2 carats, totaling around 6 carats all together in sapphire weight. Four sizable pearls alternate between the sapphires, showing off their organic shapes and complimenting the brilliant blue sapphire sparkle with their soft, bright white lustre. All are set in elaborately hand-carved bezels in glowing 14k yellow gold. The tongue-in-groove clasp was replaced around 1980 and features an additional figure-8 safety clasp for added security. This luscious piece appraises for $17,500, and we are proud, as always, to offer it at an incredible value. The bracelet measures 7 1/2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide, fit for an average or larger sized wrist. Chain can easily be removed from the piece to accommodate a smaller wrist, upon request.
