These beautifully carved agate cameos are estimated to be from the Victorian era, or circa 1890. They are set very simply in 14k gold bezel mountings. On the back there is subtle evidence that they were converted to a screw-back mechanism which likely occurred in the 1930s. The portrait is unique to each earring yet both depict a male warrior-type figure. The lines are still quite sharp and show no signs of damage or wear despite their age. The cameos measure approximately 3/8" by 7/16" while the dimension of the gold mounting is approximately 5/8" by 11/16". We could have these converted to posts upon request.
