Here is an interesting example of Victorian Hair Jewelry, made as a memorial or love token. Dating to from some time between 1850s - 1880s. these drop earrings are made of 14K gold and table-worked (made like bobbin lace) hair. Intricately woven human hair with fine gold findings. The gold and all parts test 14K . Sits nicely on the ear and measure approx. 2" top to bottom.
