Rose Gold & Platinum Watch Chain c1905
This classic curb chain is made unique with its alternating stretches of rose gold and platinum links! Made around 1905, this chain was designed as a double albert style for pocket watches. A swivel dog clip on one end and a spring ring on the other were ideal for grasping pocket watches as well as fobs. An additional ring at the center of the chain likely linked a toggle to insert into a button hole while the two chains draped across the vest and tucked the watch and other valuables into pockets on either side. Today, the chain wears beautifully as a necklace, boasting 17 1/2 inches in length! With the clip and spring ring, styling possibilities are endless! Though beautiful all on its own, this gorgeous Edwardian chain makes an excellent base for a neck mess, it's so easy to get creative and make it yours by adding charms, fobs, or even additional chains!
